“Fly High Fishing” is a VR fantasy bow-fishing game set within a hot air balloon high above the clouds. The player’s task is to catch as many fish as they can with their bow & arrow before the timer runs out.

What I contributed to Fly High Fishing?

Fly High Fishing was a difficult project to work on. We had a team that was inexperienced with VR. The team also only had two VR Headsets to use with only half the team able to test the game as the rest of us were not on campus and did not have access to a headset. We also only had 4 weeks to plan, prototype and release a playable experience for VR.

In the end, we got there and considering the lack of experience and time we had for this project I consider it to be a success.

What I did for the game included designing the economy for the Fly High Fishing. The economy scored the players on what kind of fish they caught and the points that the player got per fish. I also (with the help of the guys with the headsets) got the testers to feel the shots of from the bows and tweaked the distance/ fire rate according to feedback.
